We are recruiting!

Our research explores neural mechanisms supporting spatial cognition and memory. We place particular emphasis on systems interactions between cortico-cortical and cortico-thalamic circuits that flexibly facilitate these processes. To investigate these topics, we combine multisite in vivo electrophysiology, in vivo neuroimaging, and circuit perturbations with sophisticated and ethologically-inspired behaviors in mice and rats.

Our laboratory is within the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences (PB&S) at UCSB and is housed in the UCSB Neuroscience Research Institute. Graduate students can apply to work with us through either the PB&S Ph.D. program in Neuroscience and Behavior or the Interdepartmental Graduate Program in Dynamical Neuroscience.
